Corrosion Moisture Inhibitors

"I have a new boat with two 38

"I have a new boat with two 385hp crusaders. I would like to hear the pros and cons of spraying these motors with some sort of moisture/corrosion inhibitor. Does it help, if so, what is recommended ?

"it certainly won't hurt.

"it certainly won't hurt. I use it on everything I work on. some water, condensation is inevitable, and rust will appear in time. this will add expense to future repairs. mercruiser has corrosion guard. crc makes a version, as does west marine. I'm sure there are others as well. all do the same job. some have a yellowish tint, if that matters to you.(the merc is clear)"
