correct plugs

i have 87 150 marnier motor and i was wondering which was the best plug for this motor, and does brands really make a difference autolite champion etc thank you

NGK BU8H is the recommended plug, the ignition system was designed to run that plug.

If my auto,VW,BMW,Mercedes,Toyota,Kia, Skoda,Nissan,Chervolate,says I need "X" plugs,do you put in "Y" plugs.My Merc800 '69 says I need xxx or cross ref xxx,then that's what I go with.

no i dont there are 4 different brands and nos. they say are intended for my motor the only difference is 10 dollars in the price per plug price so that makes me wonder

Most of the plugs that crossover from the OE plug recommended by the mfg. will work...for awhile...don't know if the performance will be the same w/o scientific testing of them all. The $10 plugs will probably have platinum tipped electrodes which will last about 2,000 hours of continuous service. Minor cleaning will be requires now and then.
