Just got a 2005 50hp elpto, was trying to order a box for it but it's getting a bit confusing. It's an 8pin plug but some say 8pin win power tilt or without power tilt. The motor has a power tilt switch on the unit itself.
Does this mean I MUST buy the power tilt model or can I get the control for a non power tilt model and still operate everything else? It's going on a pontoon so I can just set the tilt with the switch on the motor and be happy with that. Don't think I'm going to get on plane anyway lol.
From the pics I've seen of these units it looks like a little single wire lead controls the tilt not in the actual 8pin plug.
There's about $150-$200 price difference between the two.
