"How many lbs should my radiator cap on my heat exhchanger supposed to be? is an AQ125B also if my boat is doing 190 degress at 4400rpm is everything working as it should?, I'm using a 160Farenheit t-stat looking for a 140farenheit t-stat I'm in tropical weather - salt water Does anybody know where I can get that 140t-stat I see them but don't know which part number fits my block."

"The cap is 4 psi. The problem

"The cap is 4 psi. The problem is not "tropical". The engine is supposed to run @ 185F with the factory original T'stat. It may run a little over 190F with extreme loading of the engine. If the engine overheats, then the coolant mix is incorrect or there is a restriction in sea water flow or a problem with the gauge or sender. I don't consider 190F to be "hot". However, it appears to be running at a slightly higher temp than spec. I suggest you stop fooling with the thermostats."

"Try running the engine while

"Try running the engine while the boat is on blocks and observe water flow from the exhaust outlet. If flow appears restricted check the sea water filter, the water pump and the oil cooler. A piece of trash (barnacles grow inside the drive) can partially obstruct the pump. Ream out the tubes in the filter. Install new O rings in the caps and grease up. When rotating the caps use care that one or more rings are not distorted. Grease will help prevent that. If no cooler installed, ignore the above."

"with the factory thermostat i

"with the factory thermostat it ran at 180 an fully open at 198 but not really what you're supposed to use in the warm water I run it in, compare to what you guys have in the states, now is running a bit colder probably need to check sea water filter. Do you all use regular coolant in your volvo engines or some german stuff? Also if my engine is running a bit rich would that give a few extra degrees."

Rich will cool you engine. And

Rich will cool you engine. And use more fuel. I wouldn't worry too much about temp until you gets over 210-220*F Run a 180 thermo and you should be fine...
