Cooling pipes on a AQ130C

I recently replaced all the seals on the cooling pipes on the engine that I acquired super cheap out of the states, but the guys that had it 'cleaned it up' before selling it. I'm having problems keeping the pipe from the water pump to the oil cooler in place. I've since discovered that there's a clamp / wedge missing. Has anyone made anything to do the job there, and if so, any recommendations? I feel like I should just cut a wood wedge and gently drive it in that gap between the pipe and the bracket above it, but that seems sketchy.

While on the topic of cooling, has anyone ever built a closed loop exchanger for a 130 engine? Would it be a complicated endeavor? I don't feel like my engine will last very long if I continually pump sea water through a hot head. Would save having to flush it out after every use too. I have seen come commercial systems for somewhere around $1000, but that seems ridiculous to me, as I'm not even into the entire project for that much money. Also, why do those systems send the raw water through the oil cooler? Why not include the oil cooler in the closed loop?

Thanks in advance for the answers!
