shortened the water tube on a 25" lower unit by cutting three inches off water tube, I now have water coming out of the tell tell on the cowling, the problem that I think I am dealing with is that on the port side of the engine facing front there are two exits for water that eventually connect and out the tell tell hole on the cowling, problem is the upper 90 degree nipple is not flowing as the lower one is flowing apparently the upper is plugged or blocked with deposits. When I first got this yamaha I had no water at all flowing does anyone know what I can do as far as chemicals or tricks to open up the upper nipple or does it even need to flow this is my first yamaha and it is new to me thanks.
