Controls not working.

I redecked my Pontoon. In the process I needed to disconnect the controls from the motor, 50 hp 4 stroke unknown vintage. Once reconnected the starter and lift both worked. Swapped in a new battery and now the controls no longer work.

Lift button on motor works.

Can jump the starter motor. The key must be on to actually run and will turn off the motor.

Everything worked until the Bat was swapped, and missing start function

Put one hand on the throttle and other on the key. Turn key to start and move the throttle handle just a bit fwd and rev. See if the starter engages

If there is no change then look for small yel/red wire on the key switch. Turn key to start and see if there is 12V when turned.

If 12V does show, then do same thing at the motor. Find the relay with the same size yel/red wire
