I was wanting to know if anyon

I was wanting to know if anyone could tell me how the control box comes apart. i started but couldn't figure it out. i hafe to put a new ing switch in "key and Tumbler". The one on the box has came apart you can still start it but the ring that keeps it from mowing is broken.

Its a 1974 70hp Johnson its a single lever fwd and rev. i can get the shifter off and the the cover but i can't figure out how to get up to the switch.
 
i went and looked on the ishop

i went and looked on the ishopmarine web site(a great place to get part numbers and then bring them here becuase marine engine.com is always cheaper) and there is a link in the middle of the page for johnson evinrude. just follow the links to your model and then click on remote control. it will show you a complete break down of the control. it looks that there is a top cover that should also come off. and the switch is on a plate that will slide out towards the port side of the boat.
