Hello, recently purchased a used 2003 Yamaha 40hp two stroke outboard model 40TLRB. The outboard is setup for 10 pin remote control but did not come with the control box, nor did it come with throttle or shift cables. I see that a Yamaha 703 box will work but what I don't know is if I need a "Push to Open" or Push to Close" control box nor do I know how to tell by looking at the motor. Any help is appreciated
It looks like there are 703 boxes that can come either way and also that they can be converted. I'm trying to buy the right one the first time so I don't have to convert. So if anyone knows the various part numbers for the 703 boxes and whether they're are Push or Pull, that would be great too!
