" My 1998 Johnson 150 (carb) is consuming about 4 times the oil it should be. The problem started suddenly on my last fishing trip while at idle speeds. the motor stalled. then required a lot of choke to start and keep idling. once on plane it ran good until the plugs fouled. I noticed i used almost a gallon of oil to about 12 gallons of fuel. that is about 3 times as much as it should use. upon inspection, i noticed a vacuum hose was disconnected from the air box to (i believe) the top of the intake manifold. i probably forgot to reconnect when i did a full pm the week before. However, after reconnecting the hose, the motor has the same problem. any thoughts? "
