Connecting my 2002 50hp TLRA to Nema 200

Hey yall. I’ve recently got a new garmin for my boat and id really like to displace my rpm’s on my garmin. I have. 2002 50hp TLRA so I’m assuming with its age it might not just be plug and play but I was wondering if there is a way and how much it would cost. Any input would be greatly appreciated. TIA

The CDI does not output NMEA 2000 data.

You will need a converter box to convert analog data to NMEA 2000.

Thanks. Is the process of hooking it up pretty straight forward or something I shouldn’t even try to mess with?

No value added in my opinion.

Get a regular digital tach/trim/oil level gauge that goes with the engine and call it a day. The converter box is not a plug and play item.

That was plan B. Just figured it would be nice to display on Garmin if possible. Definitely sounds like something I don’t want to mess with tho. Thanks
