on the river prop quit turning,quit pumping water.brought it home two days later cranked it back up prop turning at speed and water pump pumping water dont know if its the coupler or what

with the KEY IN YOUR POCKET shift into fwd gear and stand on a prop blade trying to turn it CCW. see if the input shaft turns, (coupler) if it dosent(lower drive shaft. melted gears in upper)

figured out its not the coupler started it up ran good pumed water prop turned but notice an oil leak on un the upper drive could it still run after it cooled off and set for a couple days if melted gears or if the coupler had got to hot

Might want to investigate that leak ,the only spot you can have a leak is from just under the top cap.Any other place is because the gears did this.
