Im looking at a 2000 ocean pro

Im looking at a 2000 ocean pro and will be doing a compression test on it this week can ant one tell me what is ecceptable for a 2000 pro with less then 200 hours on it? I know they should be no less then 8 to 10 Lb difference at operating temp. But not sure what was the factory spec.

"Ken, you are asking a questio

"Ken, you are asking a question which OMC/BRP keeps a close guard on the answer.

Aside from the compression numbers I personally would be concerned with a 9 year old engine that has less than 200 hours on it. That works out to about 20 hours a year (or two long weekends on the water). That may be a red flag that the motor was not diligently maintained - after all, the average guy/gal does not throw maintenance money into something that they "never" use.

So aside from compression, a good look over by a qualified tech is definately in order.

Here's as much info as I can give you..
