Compression test merc 470

All cylinders should be comparatively equal in pressure between 5-10%...the higher the better. Run the engine to operating temperature then disable the ignition and pull all of the plugs. After a dry test cranking record the numbers and squirt a teaspoon of engine oil into each cylinder. Record the numbers and compare them w/the first test. There shouldn't be much difference on a good engine.
