Duh.. guess there are pistons blocking the holes..... but..... would,nt it get some air from the other 2 with the plugs out thru cylinder port and the crankcase? I'm not very knowledgeable about 2 strokes...The throttle does not need to be open for a compression test. The motor is not pulling air in through the spark plug holes Once you plug the spark plug hole it acts like normal and pulls air through the carbs. If the cylinders were all even I would suspect the compression tester. I would spray a 50-1 mix into the cylinders and let it sit over night. Then I would do another compression test with a different tester.

Istalled a new impeller ?---Updated the cooling system ?------There are known issues with the center cylinder running hot !
I just bought a compression tester kit how do I run the compression test on my 70hp Evinrude I think a cylinder has low compressionA fresh rebuild would be around 140 psi. A used one 20 something yrs old I like to see around 120 psi depending on condition. Minimum to run would be around 100+ anything under that is iffy and the cylinders need to be within 10% of each other no matter what.
