Has anyone used a comp prop?

Has anyone used a comp prop? I have a 1999 40 hp Force and i am trying to squeeze all the speed I can out of it. Someone told me that with a four blade Comp Prop I would gain some speed. Any help would be great.

" Dean, Try to find a "chopper" or "cleaver" Prop. These are designed as "serfice piercing " , ie, they can be Jacked up half out of the water,This gives less drag and are easier to spin so you can run a couple of more inches of pitch. might not be too good if it's on a fishing, cruising or skiing boat but good for fun and racing. 5 blade props are good for accelleration and cornering and may give a little more speed.Stainless steel props are better than aluminium as they are thinner and easier to spin.
