"Hard to start when motor cold. Checked carb, new plugs, good compression, fuel pump good. Read article here about the labrynth seal leaking between cylinders. Where is this seal? Never heard of it."

if your upper seal is lking,u will get oil on points etc."

thanks to this forum i was able to look up the year of the motor. It is a 1987 model johnson
