I have a AQ131A and the Hot Spark Electronic ignition installed with my existing coil that was with the boat looks stock I put on the external resistor from hot spark connected to the coil and also have one from volvo that is connected to the alternator I am questioning the validty of my tach reading and am wondering if I have installed the external resistor from Hot Spark when I dont really need it because of the resistor that I bought from Volvo that is connected to my alternator I would also like to replace my coil and get rid of the external resistor and or resistor from Volvo that connects to alt what ohm 1.5 or 3.0?And which resistor can be taken off or can both be taken off depending on the ohm value of the new coil.By the way I want to thank everybody for the help they have given me the boat is almost there I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
