"I have a 4.3 cobra with a slow static leak-down. Pump/valve body checked out OK. Found a pair of used rams on ebay that proclaimed to work perfectly. Went to a local hydraulic company to test prior to installation and these also have a slow leak. I purchased a rebuild kit but upon inspection, it is the shafts that need work, not the seals. Where can a person purchase new shafts for the rams? I don't want to buy any more rams. Thanks"

So, they're leaking externally?

I would throw those away and just reseal your original ones that were leaking internally."

"The shop suggested I need to find new shafts, so evidently they don't replate or repair. The boat is stored at the cabin and is not accessible until the spring snow is gone. It was below zero here this morning. I was hoping to have fresh units ready to install in the spring and then have a spare pair to play with cause something is always breaking on old boats."
