"I have a'87 cobra outdrive and a 2.3 engine.The outdrive has water in the oil . I would like to have it repaired with bearings,seals and gaskets.How long should a repair like this take?(hours) I want to have it done by a shop and want to be sure I'm not overcharged.Thanks Kevin"

"i am not trying to be smart or joking with you. I would sell the motor and the hull, and walk away while you still can.

Or pull the motor and the drive and find a merc 3.0 with a good alpha drive and drop it in the hull.

Sei sells a drive that will bolt up, 1300 dollars i think for new."
