Clonking sound whne turning

"Hi all, when turning tightly to the right and accelerating slightly the leg/rear end of the boat makes a clonk noise.. does anyone have any ideas what this might be ?"

We've actually just taken

We've actually just taken the stern drive off.. but if you all reckon the U-joints we'll take a look at the weekend.. is it just a case of re-greasing or can there be some serious damage.. apologies for the lack of knowledge but this marine stuff is new to us.

If the noise is not there in t

If the noise is not there in the straight ahead position but develops when you turn the steering it will be uni joint prob and they will need replacing not greased...just trying to save you pulling it down again.
