Classic fifty reverse cam alignment factory manual

I am planning to drop my lower unit this weekend to change the water pump and my reverse locking cam I know is not currently aligned correctly. I know if in neutral, the top of the cam slope is at 12 oclock facing front of boat. However, i wanted to drop the LU in forward instead of neutral incase I bump the shifter shaft. I have a factory service manual but cant find anywhere in the book, a pic of the cam alignment. Anybody know if there is a pic or sketch of it in the manual? Thanks.

You can logic it out by looking at the upper and lower cams, seeing how they react. And be sure all the slack is out of the lower (turn it CCW) before stabbing her up there.

You were lucky 'cause one little tap and--clank!--she's in forward.

True, but easy to just twist the splines back to neutral as long as you check before putting back. I had to redrop the LU because the exhaust plate was upside down and it did go into forward from the reverse lock rod tension pushing on the cam slope as it dropped.
