Classic 50

Brand new here. Lower unit rebuilt on a 1986 Classic 50 and I'm having trouble sliding her back in. Need help thanks.

I use a bungee cord to handle the weight. Makes it a bit easier.

Ratchett strap also. Thanks. But what am I hitting? Does it matter whether the shift linkage is in gear or neutral?

Well ----The lower unit needs to be in the same gear as the control box.----You MUST verify that.-----An assistant should turn the flywheel slightly to get splines to engage.
