Chrysler marine big block identification

We have a 1965 Pacemaker 44' with twin big block Chryslers, the block casting numbers are 2536430-9. I've done some research and found this number minus the -9 applies to a 440, at least in an automobile application. My research also shows that the 440 came out in 1966, the boat was built in 1965, the engines in this year should be 413's. These are supposed to be original engines, does anyone have an explanation for this? I would appreciate any info or ideas, thanks.

Mystery solved, I have learned that the 440's are not the original engines, the boat came with 426 engines in 1965... the repower with the 440's happened in 1982,
