Chrysler 75 spark plug wires

Hey guys , in the process of a rebuild and I’m attempting to retrofit new plug wires. I’m stumped on the connection into the distributor. It appears there is a pin/needle that the striped plug wires just rests on. Granted, this could be how the previous owner had it. Been misfiring/jumping pretty bad the last two times on the lake and this is pretty much one of the last electrical components I haven’t gone through. Could someone try to show me what this should look like properly? In short, I’m just looking to see how the opposite end of the spark plug, on the wire, connects to the distributor.

Thanks guys!

It literally looks like they just push in and contact. My plug wires are corroded so I want to switch them out. I think the boat running choppy has something to do with that

The distributer is upside down(right???) then the wires would just fall out.
Look close they probably screw in(Racerone).
If not then they've been replaced along the way. Gotta figure out how to keep them held in place.
They stopped making them a LONG time ago.
Try Franz Marine or Master tech (https://maxrules.com/fixelink.html)

Yes they it is upside down. Here is a picture of what the wire is supposed to be held into

No pic. I had a Mercury outboard from the late 70's(??) it had the upside down distributer.
I replaced the wires back then and for 4 wires it was over $60. That was a bunch of $$$ back then.
