Hope I am in the right section....
Has any one changed the oil in the lower unit of this old outboard?
If so, what lubricant to use?
 
90w Marine grade oil.
Mercury oil, OMC oil, Yamaha oil, all will work.
Even regular 80/90 gear oil will work, in a pinch Wally World gear oil works too.
Is the oil you took out OK? no water mixed in?
