Just the other day I ran my twin Chrysler 360's for a few hours with no issues. Now when I try to run the port side motor it will only run for about 1 minute then die for no reason. I check the fuel filter for any water (none). I check the electric fuel pump for operation. seems to be working because when the engine stops I can still pump gas into the carb. Any other suggestions of the issue???

"If the choke is opening properly, then swap the electronic module (or, better yet, install a new one--30 bucks). If that doesn't do it, start looking for 9 volts at the + coil terminal with the key ON and the motor not running.

"Jeff,
I did replace the electronic module. My next step was making sure i have constant power to a saftey switch I have installed. Probably remove it all together. I did find out that after the engine stops i do not have fuel. It looks like an issue with the elctronic fuel pump. It does pump the fuel manually. I have a button on the bridge to prime the system prior to start up."

Ah-hah! Fuel starvation. Look for a reason the electric pump is shutting down--possibly a bad oil pressure switch. If set up correctly (and legally, as yours appears to be) the power to the pump goes through your oil pressure switch.

I have to replace mine on a yearly basis, so that might be the problem.

"Jeff, Thanks for the help. That is exactly what I was going to do tonight. I will let you know how I make out."

the issue of the fuel starvati

the issue of the fuel starvation was the oil pressure safety switch. I replaced the switch & away I went. THANKS!
