"I just took posession of a 1969 Penn Yan with flybridge and need as much information about the engine as I can get. I believe it is a chrysler 315/225hp. What I would like to know is the type of spark plug, spark plug wires, points, battery size and the gap for the spark plugs and the gap for the points.
Also the location of the timing marks and the timing setting.

Read earlier posts on this site. Users recommend using GM 454 wire sets as they have enough length to run around the outside of the exhaust manifolds. I just rebuilt two for my boat and these are great to work with compared with fighting between the exhaust manifolds and the valve covers / heads."
