Chrysler 105HP 1971 parts needed

I have a 1971 Chrysler 105 HP;

I have a 1971 Chrysler 105 HP; model: 1057HB serial: 3002. I brought it in for service and I was told the motor had good compression but it needed an Ignition Module (part #?) and cable harness. I was told that the motor was too old and it would not be a good idea to replace the parts. Would it be worth while for me to replace the parts on the motor or give up on it? Would anyone know where I can locate these used parts? This is my first boat for me and my son to get. Thank you for your time.

Cable harness? Can't be fixed?
Ebay is a good source for used parts. You need to know what your buying though.
If your mechanically inclined get the service manual and also the parts book for your outboard if available. There are still new and used parts out there.

"There are 2 different 105s on Ebay right now, both are in Michigan by the looks of it. You may want to look for a spare engine for parts. There is also an ignition module(power pack), not sure which one that you need."
