I have a 1988 Johnson V140 hp engine. Where do I install the temperature sending unit?

On some of the looper models ( not sure on 88 ) there was a threaded hole near the thermostat housing.---The sending unit screw in there.---Not to be confused with overheat warning switch.

On some of the looper models ( not sure on 88 ) there was a threaded hole near the thermostat housing.-The 1988 kit just shows a sending sending unit that touches the outside of the head.-Installed with a bracket.-----Not to be confused with overheat warning switch.
