Hello everyone.
I’m looking to replace the battery for my trolling motor and would appreciate some advice from people with real-world experience. I currently use my boat regularly for fishing, and I sometimes run the trolling motor for several hours during a trip.
I’m considering a traditional deep-cycle lead-acid battery, AGM, or possibly lithium, but I’m not sure which option offers the best balance of runtime, reliability, weight, and long-term value.
For those who have upgraded their setup, what trolling motor battery would you recommend?
Is lithium really worth the higher upfront cost, and what capacity should I be looking for?
