Choke assembly

The choke assembly on my 1995

The choke assembly on my 1995 454XL MSTS with Hurth V-drive has rusted away. Do I need the 12 degree (CRU30233) or 0 degree (CRU30232) and what does the degree mean??

"probably related to the carb spacer, which affects the heat riser linkage lenght. V drive would be zero degree, i think."

Dave is correct...The V Drives do not use the wedge... EVEN THOUGH MINE HAS THEM ??????

"Hi Kevin...I don't really think I NEED them but they were on the boat when I got it. PROBABLY the repower used engines out of a straight shafted boat and installed in my v-drive boat. However, since they were there when I redid the top ends and cooling system, I just kept them in place. It ran good then and it runs GREAT now so ...I plan on leaving them alone for now"
