"I have a late 70's 140HP chrysler outboard. Recently started rebuilding the boat. the motor starts but doesnt want to idle. My main problem is that i need to know if the motor is circulating water ok. Dont want to open the motor for no reason. Is there a way to check the water pressure? I ran the motor with the "mufs" on but then it started revving up by itself and then dropping again. So i rather switched it off. Would appreciate help on these subjects, as we dont have a chrysler dealer in South africa."
