Check engine light On 1996 v4

I have been reading my Johnson

I have been reading my Johnson engine Manual acording to specs this engine does not have a check engine light my boat has the 3inch round gauge with the tach. and four warning lights the check engine light stays on could this be hook up by mistake and how do i turn it of?? I see on the v6engine there is a vacum sending unit that controls this light there is none on my engine been driving me nuts any suggestions??

"i have seen your posts,here and BBc i think,..the ck eng light,is not used on the V-4 for fuel rstriction,only the v-6's.I think,u have a bad gauge,or,..it is wired,either by mistake,or malfunction,into something else.ck eng is also used for water in fuel on some engines."
