the motor is not charging the

the motor is not charging the battery. tach is working and i replaced the rectifier. still not working. what do i do next. thanks
 
"Steve, if you have an ohm met

"Steve, if you have an ohm meter, disconnect the two yellow (or whatever the wire colour is - sometime yellow/gray stripe or gray) - anyhow, the two wires that are feeding the rectifier.

You should have continuity between the two of them (almost zero resistance) and no continuity between each one individually and any good ground spot on the engine.

Your charging stator coils may be shot..."
