Charging problem - Evinrude OP 175hp 1998

I will probably just go with the new oem stator and regulator , this ones connection to the charge circuit is good now but the ignition resistance bench test was slightly out of rage, it is a 6 wire and the brn/brnblk is 580 ohms and it says it should be 550. The other 2 sets are right on. I will leave the ignition battery isolated for now. I tested the 2 regulators I have and both failed the gray wire (tach) resistance test (10 ohms). I am sure they will charge but the the tach circuits suffered damage from the loose wire on the stator. I hope it did not do any damage to my systems check tach.... another 300.$ part
