charging output on Mecury 30hp

I have a 2002 Mecury 30hp model elh. It does have electric start. I know there is a small charging system that helps to mantain the battery. Can anybody tell me how many amps it puts out. I'm guessing 13-14 volts at about 1-2 amps. running. Does this sound correct? THANKS

I think its more than that, 1-2 amps would take forever to charge your battery. I was told that my 50 hp had a 9 amp charger.
