Changing VRO to Fuel Pump 40hp

I'm changing the vro on th

I'm changing the vro on the 40hp to a comm. fuel pump. there is only a IN and OUT port on the fuel pump. Don't I need to use the pulse limiter to provide pressure to the pump?
 
Just to let everyone know that

Just to let everyone know that you can use the fuel pump 438556 but you will have to to tap and die the port that is on the back and use a stim to connect it to the pulse limiter. I just finished the task and everything is running fine...for now.

"if u use the port side port,w/a bolt in it,......why do u need the pulse limiter....i am thinking u could bolt up a pump right to the block...,then block of the pulse limiter connection."
