Changing the vro-pump out for a fuel pump

I think you have to help , by giving more information about your motor.----------------2 cylinder / 3 cylinder / 4 cylinder / 6 cylinder ------------year of the motor or model # is a must !
 
On that particular motor the best / cheapest option is to use the VRO to pump the pre-mixed fuel.-------------Block / plug the oil hose near the pump and disconnect the wiring for the VRO and oil tank.
 
Okay know let me ask you, is there a way I can use the oil side for the gas? because the connector that the hose from the gas tank to the vro-pump came off. It is not the screw in type. It looks like it is the clue on type. Well anyways I used J.B Weld to put it back but gas still sips from the connector. Either that or I will have to get another vro-pump. I believe air is leaking into the system through there.
 
There are / were at one time repair kits available for VRO pumps -------------And ----NO ---------you can not use the oil side to pump fuel as it does not have near the capacity to move fuel at a rate for your motor.--------------There is a fuel only replacement available but it too is a bit expensive.--------------Most dealers may have used parts available as these pumps are discarded all to time.--------------And they are simple to repair in my opinion.
 
Thanks racerone, I will look into that. Know can I remove the vro-pump and just buy a plain fuel pump to pump the pre-mix fuel?
