I want to replace the spark plugs on my 2003 150 Optimax and am wondering if there is anything special I need to know. A friend or mine has a high tech Yamaha outboard and changing the spark plugs is very involved. I think the term he used is "indexing" where the the electrode on the new plug has to be in the exact position as on the old plug. It could actually take several plugs to find the right plug for each cylinder depending on the thread patterns. Can anyone tell me if how it is on the Optimax? I was hoping it would be as routine as setting the gap and torque to specifations. Does anyone know the torque specs? Thanks!

They don't give those PZFR5F-11's away. I just want to know why those stinking expensive plugs won't last very long. My 150xr6 plugs are only $2.50 and they last a long long time. My optimax plugs don't last a 100 hours.
