"I have a volvo penta 4.3gl. I/O. I bent my prop. How easy is it to change. Will it slide off the shaft after removing the cotter pin and nut, or do I need a puller. It's an aluminum three blade prop. I'm told it's as easy as sliding it off and then it requires a puller. Thanks"

"Denny, on the sx it is jsut one nut and a lockset for the nut, on the DP its 2 nuts, am assuming its an sx. as long as the hub assembly hasnt coroded to the shaft or your splines havent bent you should just slide it off after taking the nut assembly off. coat the shaft with grease before you put on your nw prop, also check that you dont have fiishing line wrapped around the shaft, it will spool back by the seal and damage the seal."

try pulling it off like Brett says. I have a duo-prop that is seized on the shaft. wish mine was that easy.
