How do I change the gear oil

How do I change the gear oil on my motor. Do i need special tools or can this be done simply at home? I think the drain plug is on left hand side at the bottom of the leg and saw a sort of triangular bit with 2 flat head screws. Am i on the right track?

There should be two screws &#

There should be two screws (1/2" diameter heads) remove to drain oil. Fill from the bottom till oil comes out the top. DO NOT REMOVE SMALL SCREW it is the pivot pin for the shift.
