"I read a post by Doug Bryant that mentioned he had information on changing a CDI ignition to a regular point system. I have put a coil, balast resistor, etc. on it and it runs poorly but it was mentioned that it needed 2 coils? I only ran it for about 5 minutes, so I don't think I have "blown a hole in the disributor", but any help you could give me would sure be appreciated. I have a 1968 55HP Evinrude.
