"I'm installing the crank now in a v-4 crossflow 1979 model, was wondering how to keep the center main bearing in place over the stud in the block. Thanks alot, Jonathan Taylor"
 
"That's a matter of liftin

"That's a matter of lifting the crankshaft ever so slightly, just enough so that you can turn the main bearing sleeve back and forth slightly. Eventually you'll feel it drop onto the locating stud."

"10-4, Joe, thanks for the info, I think I got it where it needs to be. The crankcase half bolted up nice, both crankcase heads lined up and I used the flywheel to make sure nothing was binding up, so far, so good. Jonathan Taylor"
