I'm replacing coils on a '80 Johnson 115 and received my new coils but the wiring has me a bit confused.
The old coil has 3 wires, all built into the coil - spark plug, lead (to magneto I presume), ground. All easily identifiable.
The new coil has 1 post (spark plug?) and one screw.
I believe that, even with a new coil, I will still need a spark plug wire, a lead and a ground. Which goes where?
Most pressing question - is the little metal clip the ground?
Thanks.
