lets take a vote please if u have to get a another carb. what would be your choice?? on a 350 v-8. i have a 1409 edlebrock on now! problably needs rebuild or replaced. help

rochester 4 barrel in my humble opinion as bullet proof as you can get. You can get fancier, you can get more expensive, but the best working, easiest to set up and rebuild carb ever made.

Yea i know guys you all gonna throw out names of other ones he asked so i told.

Another Q-jet fan here.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with Chief on the "easiest to setup" part; the 1409 gets that trophy. Would agree that is has one of the widest application ranges it will work well on (under 300 to over 500 CID).

Only drawback is good sources of parts supply are few and far between.

after many years of the Q jet , I find them very durable , if parts needed no problem. can be modified to a wide range of CFM.
If you have worked these for many years it is easy to maintain .

Ayuh,... You've got a carbon copy of the current issue Merc 4bbl carb now...
Rebuild it,+ Go Boatin'...
