Recently my boat was the victim of a theft. The guy stole both of my Rochester Quadrajet carbs off of my Crusader 454 engines. I have a Siverton 34C with Dual 454 Cu. In. 350 HP engines, 1990 models. What I need is some replacement info. What should I put as replacements. Thanks for any info.

All the info you need is actually right here. Plus the replacement parts!

I looked up carbs. on crusader, there are no listings for carbs even under parts
Let me give you some direction then. Enter Rochester Carburetor # BC-Q9M57 into any search engine and you will find many options.
As far as different sizes/manufactures/types of carburetors to use, I never had issues with the stock Rochester on our Crusader model 350(s)!

Iv'e always found holleys easier to adjust, personal preference, float level, mixture screws, idle settings, Others will disagree

from an efficiency point of view, the quadrajet is your best bet...trouble is finding a 'new' one is nearly impossible as they haven't been made in years. most of what you will find is 'rebuilt' and that brings a host of additional concerns.

many that post here have had success converting to the Edelbrock 1409's....there are several good thread on this forum - just search.

So correct..I have quadrajets and just had both serviced,(cleaned and rebuilt),and the fellow who did the job showed me all the mods they did to make a 1986 Ford truck and a 1989 Chevy carb into a marine quadra jet................however, mine really work well on 1991 350 Crusaders.

I do believe in the Rochester Quadrajet:eek:
