Carb question

1989 200 ETLH. When I drained the carbs for the winter, the lower port side bowl had no fuel in it. The other 5 bowls had fuel in them. The motor ran fine last time out which was about a week ago. How can one bowl be empty?

A 200ETLH is a 1987 model year motor.

If a float valve is stuck closed then no gasoline will be able to get to the carburetor.

I agree, but the motor was running so well. Good idle and 70 mph at 5500. Would I know if one cylinder was starving?

V-6 outboards run well on 5 of 6 cylinders.-----Hook up your fuel line again.---Operate the manual fuel pump.---See if that bowl now has fuel in it.
