Carb leaking gas in 3.5 hp Johnson

Hey all, hope everyone is staying safe out there right now! My 2003 3.5hp Johnson is leaking gas from the vent above the carburetor. I believe it is due to the float or needle (please correct me if I am wrong). My question is how to properly position the float in the bowl. There are two pins that come from the top of the carb and I am guessing i do not have them properly positioned. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That fork just rides on top of the float. Put the carburetor together and holding it upside down you should not be able to blow air (with your mouth) through the fuel inlet. Did you look in the needle seat to be sure there wasn't any junk in there?
