Carb float setting

What is the setting for the float? I am repair the Carb on my Johnson 130 HP?

Install needle and float, then hold the carb upside down. The float should set level with the carb body, or just slightly higher on the end opposite the needle. I'm sure there is some kind of feeler gauge spec to be exactly precise, but setting it level has always worked just fine for me.

But then also , there is an opposite measurement with float hanging down too...........bend cafefully

I never check / worry about float drop on these simple carburetors.
